The Mashrafe Mortaza-led side have been crippled by injuries to star players in the tournament, but their fighting spirit and their ability to make strong comebacks held them in good stead. Though the top-order does remain a worry, the middle-order has often raised their hands to perform when the team is in trouble, and the same is likely to pan out in the crucial clash as well.
India’s problems, on the other hand, start with the middle order. While Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan have been star performers, the batsmen at 4, 5 and 6 have been unable to take the opportunity and close out games, which is what crippled them against Afghanistan as well.
