Match Preview :-
| Key Stat: United have beaten Spurs 20
out of 25 times in the EPL, losing just twice and drawing the other three times. |
| Expert Verdict: When the ball gets
rolling at the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday, expect the match to feel like a cup final. That's because it will be in truth. With Manchester City looking unstoppable at this moment and five points clear, a winner in this match could effectively knock out the other from title contention, even at such an early stage. Spurs have been excellent of late, especially away from home and their star man Harry Kane should prove the difference maker once again. |
Team News
Jose Mourinho will continue to be without center back Marcos Rojo and center mid Paul Pogba here, but we know that they will be back sooner rather than later.
Forward Zlatan is also scheduled to return earlier than expected, but he remains out for a month longer at the very least.
Defensive midfielder Michael Carrick continues to due with a calf ailment, while center back Eric Bailly and midfielder Marouane Fellaini could return in this one.
Expect United to set up a little more attacking than they did against Liverpool, but they will still be out to frustrate and shut down Spurs first and foremost.

Mauricio Pochettino already has a surging side full of confidence available to him, and they will be well rested having not been involved with the EFL Cup in midweek. They also are nearly full healthy. Center midfielder Victor Wanyama could return for this match, though he likely won't, while winger Erik Lamela is bound to miss out another week or two.
WATCH OUT PLAYER
With so much talk going around about Harry Kane, one almost would be forgiven for overlooking Romelu Lukaku. But that would be a massive mistake to put it lightly.
The Belgian has been nearly unstoppable this season for the Red Devils, with only three matches coming without a goal for him. Worryingly, though, two of those matches were his last two. Look for him to try and add to his seven goals scored in this one.

This spot can only be reserved for one man presently, and that is Harry Kane. He is the perfect player for this Spurs side as he is absolute clinical and ruthless to finish chances. But he has also showed the knack to turn into a provider if needed, and he did so brilliantly with a tremendous pass to Son for their second goal at Wembley last weekend.
He has a staggering 13 goals in 12 matches in all competitions so far, and he is likely to make a huge difference.
