BAN’s misery in the Protea land continued as dominant SA sealed the 3-match ODI series with a thumping 104-run victory in the 2nd ODI. Riding on the back of an AB de Villiers comeback, SA amassed 353/6 in 50 overs after being put in to bat by BAN. The visitors got off to a decent start but were once again helpless against the SA bowling unit, eventually crumbling for 249.
With nothing but pride at stake in the final ODI, BAN must look forward to putting up an impressive show of one-day cricket. SA are sky-high with confidence, thanks to a solid top order, a vintage de Villiers and a bowling attack ready to prey. On the other hand, BAN have shown glimpses of good cricket but still haven’t looked their best. With unpredictability being their number one strength, it would be foolish to undermine their potential.

Tamim Iqbal (BAN) – The opener got off to a good start in the last match, but failed to convert it into a big score. As one of the stalwarts in BAN’s batting line-up, Tamim will have to shoulder the responsibility of getting his side off to a flyer and put the pressure back on SA’s bowlers with his explosive batting.
