Watch Out Player
Asad Shafiq (PAK): The right-handed batsman has proved very well in the test format. With the average for 39.21, he is one of the consistent players of the side. His role before this tournament was to decorate the innings with some cracking hits and give a sound total to the opponents. But, in this tournament, he stepped in as a responsible batsman though he was not that impactful. Some handy bowling skills and his potential to tickle the scoreboard makes him a player to watch out for.
Kusal Mendis (SL): The 22-year-old lad has impressed everyone with his performance from recent times. He has an average of around 35 with 3 centuries in test cricket in just 21 matches. He is currently struggling with his form but with his techniques and aggressive batting style, he can be the danger man for the opponents. He is one of the mainstays for his side and promising players can never be ignored and thats exactly what makes him a player to watch out for.
